More than 6 decades ago, in 1953, with ethical and socially responsible objectives, Kurikkal Coir House was started at Manjeri – one of the prominent business towns in Malabar region of Kerala. This initiative came from the affluent and aspirant Kurikkal family who are well known for their passion and ethical approach towards business. Cementing its base on hard work, dedication and ethics, Kurikkal Coir House emerged as the largest wholesaler of ropes, tarpaulins, carpets etc. in south India.
Down the years, with immense experience and confidence of serving the retail market, another milestone in our business journey - Kurikkal Agencies, an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Company was set up in the year 1995, which initially distributed flagship brands in plastic household articles which had good acceptance in the retail sector. In 2004 we expanded our reach to Calicut and Wayanad districts by starting a full-fledged branch at Calicut.
Later we expanded our range of products by incorporating distribution of small appliances brands also which was proved to be another feather in our cap. In 2011 Kurikkal Appliances Distributions was started at Calicut and Manjeri which primarily focused on distribution of small domestic appliances. We were and are the exclusive distributors of many prominent brands for the entire three districts - Calicut, Malappuram and Wayanad.
Currently these three firms – Kurikkal Coir House, Kurikkal Agencies and Kurikkal Appliances Distributions - after climbing the ladder of commercial success, have created their own niche and are market leaders in the related fields catering retailers’ and dealers’ needs in major three districts - Calicut, Malappuram and Wayanad and are still growing.
